Is McLaren P1 faster than LaFerrari? ›

The Ferrari feels quickest in a straight line, just, followed closely by the P1 with the 918 being merely incredible back in third place. But the P1 feels torquier and therefore more explosive in the mid range than the Ferrari.

One described the hybrid-powered Porsche 918 as '… possibly the most complete hypercar there's ever been'. The total system delivers 652 kW (887 PS; 875 hp) and 1,280 N⋅m (944 lbf⋅ft) of torque. Porsche provided official performance figures of 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.6 seconds, 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph) in 7.2 seconds, 0–300 km/h (0–186 mph) in 19.9 seconds and a top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph).

Both manufacturers claim a mid-2.0-second sprint to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour), though the Bugatti's top speed dwarfs the Porsche's – 214 mph (345 kph) to 261 mph (420 kph).

The McLaren P1 has a top speed of 217 mph

The P1 is ludicrously fast, even now. It accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and will hit 124 mph in an eye-watering 6.8 seconds. If you've got the asphalt and bravery, 186 mph arrives in 16.5 seconds.

With only 918 units produced, the Porsche 918 Spyder is truly a limited-production hypercar. This specific example is not for sale but is extraordinary due to the Martini Racing livery, the gorgeous red interior, and the Weissach Package.

Is the Porsche 918 Spyder street legal? Absolutely! The 918 was designed, tested, and legalized as a street-legal road car, so you won't have any problems registering the car at your local DMV office.

It pushes the boundaries of technology further than has ever been seen in a road car and features the most advanced technical capabilities from both GT and Formula 1 race car engineering. The LaFerrari is also the first hybrid with 963 CV and only 499 LaFerrari's were built for lucky Ferrari customers.

Only 918 examples of the incredible 918 Spyder were ever made. This one is number 513. Additionally, approximately 300 918 Spyders were sold in the U.S., and just four were delivered to Hong Kong. Spotting one is a rare sight.

It hits zero to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds with a top speed of 214 mph. The ultra-rare 2015 Porsche 918 “Weissach” Spyder is heading to Sotheby's Sealed auction which ends on January 20, 2024 and is estimated to go for more than $2.3 million USD.

The McLaren 720S has a slight edge in top speed and acceleration, while the Ferrari 488 GTB has slightly better handling. Nevertheless, both cars are amazing machines that give their owners years of driving pleasure. If you have the budget for either vehicle, you can't go wrong with either choice.

It is ungodly fast

The P1 will hit 62mph from rest in just 2.8s, but amazingly can go from 0-186mph – 0-300km/h – in just 16.5s. That's 5.5s quicker than what was once the world's fastest ever car. (That's the McLaren F1, in case it wasn't crystal clear.)
