Cinder core (3)

A cinder core causes bonus experience to be used at 250% of the normal rate when worn in the pocket slot. Two cinder cores can be purchased for 250 oddments from the Marketplace, and are also available as a rare prize in Treasure Hunter.

The XP amount it can be used for scales with the player's total level. For a maxed player it will explode after 53,232 additional bonus experience has been used while wearing it. This means that each core will last for approximately 88,720 bonus experience, 35,488 base experience, or 124,208 total experience.

When the cinder core explodes, an effect is given to the player wearing the core and the players around them, giving a 2% bonus XP burn rate. Every time another cinder core explodes, another 2% bonus is added to the buff to a maximum of 10% bonus burn rate. The effect lasts 10 minutes, with the timer being reset every time another cinder core explodes. This bonus stacks multiplicatively with the cinder cores' regular effect.

Players can choose to lock any set of skills by choosing the "Toggle skills" option.

Cinder cores can be obtained and worn in free-to-play, however they only provide their effects during Double XP Live events as free players cannot use bonus experience outside these events.

What's better, pulse core or cinder core? ›

Pulse cores are infinitely better. I recommend not buying them through the oddment store and simply save your oddments to buy keys with oddments during a good promo or an MTX promo with a cool cosmetic.

Is Cinder a cyborg? ›

Cinder is a mechanic, under appreciated by her mother and one of her step-sisters. The other step-sister adores her. As a cyborg she doesn't have the same rights as a normal person and her step-mother goes out of her way to remind Cinder this whenever she can.

What happens in the middle of cinder? ›

Midpoint: Cinder fixes Prince Kai's android, which reveals information about Princess Selene, supposedly killed by Queen Levana. Second Pinch Point: Peony dies of the plague moments before Cinder obtains an antidote.

What job does cinder have? ›

Cinder is a mechanic who does work for her step-mother along with her companion Iko, and she has dreams of leaving her step-mother's home, though she stays for her sister Peony. Cinder meets the prince of New Beijing, Prince Kaito.

What does cinder learn? ›

Cinder learns that Emperor Rikan has died and Queen Levana will be arriving on Earth in an attempt to solidify a marriage alliance between her and Kai.

What age is cinder for? ›

There are a couple of mature themes and I think it's best if they are at least 13. There is no rush to have your 11 or 10 year old read this book, while great, there a many other things they could read instead.
