Panera is discontinuing these menu items (2024)

Earlier this year, Panera announced it was transforming its menu in an effort to focus on innovating the core Panera items.

The new menu, which launched April 4 centers around a number of dishes including soups, salads, sandwiches, and macaroni and cheese.

But that overhaul comes at a price. According to Eat This, Not That, Panera has discontinued more than 40 items, including the blueberry scone and three flatbreads.

“Our new menu is refocused on our core offerings with the goal of adding more options, more innovation, and more value within the categories our guests love the most – soup, salad, sandwiches, and mac & cheese. The menu offers more new salads and sandwiches, better value with more new options below $10, and more in every bite with additional chicken and steak on many menu items,” Panera told Eat This, Not That in a statement.

SANDWICHES

• Toasted Italiano - Black Forest ham, soppressata and provolone, romaine, red onion, sliced pepperoncini peppers, garlic aioli, and Greek dressing on Panera’s toasted French Baguette.
• Chicken Bacon Rancher - Grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, aged white cheddar, and ranch dressing on Black Pepper Focaccia.
• Ciabatta Cheesesteak – Marinated sliced steak, provolone, garlic aioli, caramelized onions, and sweet Peppadew peppers on Ciabatta.

SALADS

• Mediterranean Chicken Greens with Grains - Romaine and mixed greens tossed in Greek Dressing, topped with whole grain blend of farro and red rice, grilled chicken, hummus, feta, red onions, sweet Peppadew peppers, sliced cucumbers, and a sprinkle of Panera’s Mediterranean shawarma seasoning.
• Southwest Chicken Ranch - Romaine tossed in ranch dressing, with grilled chicken and drizzled with chipotle aioli, topped with avocado, grape tomatoes, fire-grilled corn, cilantro, and blue corn tortilla strips
