How To Paint With Edible Luster Dust (2024)

Learning how to paint with edible luster dust is very easy ... IF you have the right products! Not all luster dusts are safe for consumption, so please take time to review!

Today we'll be painting with a Best Selling Edible Luster Dust, Elanna! The vibrant pink will certainly shine through, and you will achieve an amazing metallic paint before we're done! Simply grab a small amount of your edible luster dust, place it on your palette and then add drops of Color Solution.

The amount of drops you add will determine on how much powder you place in the tray. You are looking for an acrylic-like consistency when creating your edible paint, not too thick. To blend the edible luster dust, you will want to use your paint brush. The bristles from the paint brush will help to thoroughly mix the luster dust with your edible paint solvent!

After painting your first layer of the edible luster dust, you can wait 2-3 minutes and then paint a second layer for full coverage or you can do our favorite trick and DRY DUST the second layer!

By adding a very light layer of the dry dust, you are buffing in all added colors and creating the most metallic shine you could ever achieve on any confection ... we GUARANTEE IT!
