How do I know what is the title of a website? (2024)

How do I know what is the title of a website?

Answer

Usually, the title of a website can be found in the webpage header or footer. If it is not there, you can also try finding less obvious titles by getting tech-savvy and looking in the meta tags of the website by right clicking on the page and selecting “View Page Source” (or CTRL+U OR COMMAND U) and then locating the title. You can search for “title” in the text by using CTRL+F or COMMAND F. Don’t assume that the browser tab title is always the title of the page.
