Considering its name, I wanted to experience a Thai massage. For those unfamiliar with this style of massage, it’s like a special workout for your muscles, making them stronger and more flexible while giving your body some breathing room. With gentle moves and a bit of pressure, it gets your blood and lymph flowing better. For me, it feels like a very deep stretch. However, I didn’t want to miss out on a Deep Tissue massage as I find that suits my muscles the best, which is what I loved about Savanna Thai. They offer a combo massage where you can get both! This was the first time I went for a full 90-minute massage, split between 60 minutes of Deep Tissue and 30 minutes of Thai. It was amazing. A couple of weeks later, my wife visited as well and agreed- this is one of the best places to get a massage in Calgary!
Perhaps the only downside is that it’s located in the deep North, close to the airport. The good news is that there’s always lots of parking, the staff is very friendly, and the place is nice and clean. Oh, and did I mention the fantastic massage!?
