York Peppermint Patties Now Come About 36% Thinner Than The Original (2024)

From Delish

You might have noticed a trend with brands taking their classic treats and thinning them out. It’s happened with Reese’s and Oreos, and now, it’s happened with York Peppermint Patties. The dark chocolate-covered peppermint patties have become more compact with the new York Thins.

Don’t worry about the flavor here, because the York Thins consist of the same dark-chocolate-and-peppermint combination as the original. The difference is that these are about 36% thinner, a Hershey’s PR rep confirmed to Best Products.

York Thins are starting to hit store shelves now, and they’ll be available at most retailers nationwide. They’re available in 3.4-ounce and 7.2-ounce bags ($2.39 and $3.89, respectively). The thin patties are individually wrapped, so they’re ideal for throwing in your backpack, including in your kid’s lunchbox, or helping you resist eating the entire bag.

In addition to the York Thins, Hershey’s also announced the release of Reese’s White Crème Thins. The flavor completes the Reese’s Thins trifecta, which already come in milk chocolate and dark chocolate versions.

We don’t know what it is about the thinner chocolates that are so much fun to eat, but we say keep them coming!
