The school has that very small town feel. Everything is surrounded around the community which I love! The community is very involved in the school and the school does a lot to help with issues within the community. Such as food insecurity, providing Christmas to those who can’t afford it and many more. Academically, there are college readiness classes as well as career readiness classes which I appreciate since some people may not want to go to college. The school provides programs like, cosmetology, welding, agriculture, and pre-med.

Faculty will make or break an experience at WCSS. I have had teachers that made it fun and exciting to learn. They challenge me to look beyond preconceived notions and achieve more than I thought I could. However, I have also had admin that were rude to me for no particular reason other than they thought I was wasting their time. As well, I have had some teachers that gave up on their jobs halfway through the semester. They didn't put grades into the grade book, opting for movies, and refusal to help us learn the required materials. However, this has only been a handful of teachers in my case and most are good teachers. I think White County excels in their career focused programs such as Agriculture, healthcare, and cosmetology. These teachers are experts in their fields and are inspirations to aspiring students. One thing I would criticize though is the funding that goes into men's sports surpasses women's even though our women's sports continually win more than the men.

Great school and amazing teachers. My teachers took the time to encourage me through my high school career. I feel that my time at White County High School prepared me for college.
