Can you bring vapes into Barclays Center? ›

Guests who engage in fighting, throwing objects or attempting to enter the court/stage will be immediately ejected from the venue. Guests will not be permitted to smoke in the arena at any time (electronic cigarettes and vape pens are included in this prohibition).

Barclays Center Management reserves the right to prohibit other items as deemed necessary. Weapons of any kind, including mace, pepper spray, knives, sharp objects, bats, clubs, tasers, etc. Bags larger than 14”x14”x6” or that are hard-sided.

Guests who violate this policy may have materials confiscated or be subject to ejection. Outside food and beverage, reusable water bottles and lighters are not permitted inside Barclays Center. As mentioned earlier, yes, you can take your vape on a plane. But you'll need to pack your vape, vape pen, or device in your carry-on/hand luggage. Airlines don't allow vapes or e-cigarettes to be placed in the hold, so if you put yours in your checked baggage, this could cause delays.

All guests are prohibited from smoking (including electronic cigarettes, vaporizers or similar products) inside of the stadium and outside of the stadium within the security perimeter at any time.

Smoking is not permitted in Barclays Center at any time.

Most stores inside the mall also won't be bothered by you carrying your backpack, you're a potential customer at the end of the day.

Barclays Center food policy

You can't. That includes drinks and beverages, though exceptions can be made for people with special medical needs.

Jay-Z still owns a small share of Brooklyn arena Barclays Center (“one fifth of one percent,” according to Forbes), but he relinquished his stake on the Brooklyn Nets in 2013.

That said, take the usual precautions that you would anywhere in a big city: watch your belongings, keep everything secure, be aware of your surroundings, etc. Enjoy your visit! Yes, the area around it is very safe and there are lots of good bars and restaurants.

Barclays Center is a non-smoking venue and property.

Electronic smoking devices are allowed only in carry-on baggage. Passengers are required to take effective measures for preventing accidental activation of the heating element of the device when transporting the devices. See the FAA regulations for examples of effective measures.

If you are carrying a vape or e-cigarette in your carry-on bag, you should remove it from your bag and place it in a bin by itself. This will help the TSA officers get a clear view of the device and avoid any confusion. It's important to note that the TSA does not allow vapes or e-cigarettes in checked bags.

Due to risk of electrical fire you must not take disposable vapes in your checked in luggage, you must only carry disposable vapes in your hand luggage (in a resealable plastic bag).
