William "Bill" Phillips, age 60, of Iron River, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home. He was born January 20, 1955 in Milwaukee, the son of William and Elaine (Fritsch) Phillips.
William was a 1974 graduate of Waterford High School. He married Nelda Miller on January 6, 1979 in Waterford and the couple had three children. William worked for Stroh Die Casting Company in Milwaukee for 27 years. He moved to the Iron River area where he enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. He also loved his dogs which were always by his side.
He will be deeply missed by his three sons, David Phillips, Daniel (Jessica) Phillips and Jeffery Phillips; wife, Nelda; three grandchildren, William Day-Phillips, Tristan Phillips and Kathryn Day-Phillips; best friend and cousin, Russel Fritsch; sisters, Audrey and Joyce; brother, Lee; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
