PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) - Incumbent Mike Ezell has been declared the winner of the Republican nominee for the U.S. representative for Mississippi’s 4th congressional district.
Ezell, the current congressional seat, faced off against two opponents, Carl Boyanton and Michael McGill.
On Tuesday night, the Associated Press reported that Ezell received around 73% of the votes.
AP said Boyanton received about 19% of the votes while McGill got about 8%.
These numbers are unofficial at this time.
Only one Democratic candidate, Craig Raybon, was running for the DEM nominee for U.S. House Dist. 4.
Ezell and Raybon are expected to face each other on Nov. 5.
