McDonald’s is making yet another new addition to their 2024 menu, and this time it comes in the form of a delicious new dipping sauce: Savory Chili Sauce. Dropping on Feb. 26, this new sauce will take your Chicken McNuggets to a whole new level. Keep reading for all the info about the Savory Chili Sauce.
McDonald’s Launches Savory Chili Sauce
In collaboration with some of the biggest names in anime, McDonald’s will be transforming into WcDonald’s, the fictional restaurant that the anime fandom has created. According to the press release, with this temporary rebranding comes “a new sauce, manga-inspired packaging, episodic shorts, and so much more.”
The Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce will be available for a limited time only. The statement describes the new menu item as a “unique combination of ginger, garlic, and soy with a slight heat from chili flakes” that “packs an energetic blast of flavor in every bite.”

"Mirroring the bold, dynamic spirit of your favorite anime heroes, the sauce pairs perfectly with an order of 10-piece 'WcNuggets,'" the statement continues.

The statement also goes on to describe the manga-inspired packaging designed by Japanese manga artist and illustrator Acky Bright, as well as the short films inspired by the collaboration. Every Monday from Feb. 26th until March 18th, a new short will drop in tandem with new manga on WcDonalds.com. Here's a sneak peek at the shorts:

- The Wisdom of the Sauce: Three women are transported to a distant land to unravel the mystery surrounding the elusive sauce before it's gone forever.
The fast food chain is taking it a step even further by creating an immersive dining experience inspired by the isekai anime subgenre. The brand describes it as "a genre-bending fusion of entertainment and food. Guests will be transported into the WcDonald's universe through 360 projection mapping and immersive tabletop projections inspired by the four WcDonald's anime episodic shorts–all while enjoying a set menu of WcDonald's items."
