McDonald's Holiday Pies are here! But they won't be around for long...
The flavors of Christmas are back—and we couldn’t be happier! You can brighten your day once again with a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha and yes, a beloved McDonald’s Holiday Pie. Here’s everything you need to know about the treat’s comeback for the holiday season.
What is the McDonald’s Holiday Pie?
It’s like the classic Baked Apple Pie, except instead of apples and cinnamon you’ll find vanilla custard tucked inside a flaky, buttery crust. The treat is also glazed with sugar and topped with rainbow sprinkles for a burst of color. When it comes to flavor, think sugar cookies. No wonder the Holiday Pie has been a seasonal McDonald’s staple since 1999!
Are Holiday Pies back at McDonald’s?
Yes, McDonald’s Holiday Pies returned on November 15! Like the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks, this release date is typically kept under wraps until the treat is on the menu. The Holiday Pie is a steal at $1.19 (at most locations), so the entire internet immediately went to the drive-thru for a bite.
The McDonald’s Holiday Pie is only available for a limited time while supplies last. You may want to check with your nearest location to make sure they have it before you head out. In years past, some McDonald’s locations even sold out early, so we’ll plan to hit the drive-thru ASAP.
Don’t have a McDonald’s near you with the Holiday Pie on the menu? Try our Nutella hand pies or another mini pie recipe. You can’t go wrong either way!
