Kawasaki Ninja 300 Repair (2024)

Background and Identification

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 (also called the EX300) is a 296 cc sports motorcycle produced by Kawasaki as part of the Ninja series motorcycles. Kawasaki motorcycles are manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ Motorcycle and Engine division. The first Kawasaki Ninja 300 was manufactured in 2012 for the 2013 model year. In some markets, the Ninja 300R replaced the Ninja 250R, but in other markets, the two models were sold alongside each other. The 300 was replaced by the Ninja 400 in some markets beginning in 2018.

The Ninja 300 motorcycle was designed off of the Ninja 250R, which was in production for over thirty years. The Ninja 300 has five-spoke wheels, a neutral fender, and an optional antilock braking system (ABS). The 300 has a slightly smaller fuel tank than the 250R, and also includes a taller gearing and back-torque-limiting slipper clutch that features an assist mechanism to decrease clutch lever effort.

The Ninja 300 is a lightweight sport motorcycle that can be identified by the name “Ninja” printed in cursive font on the side of the motorcycle near the bike’s handles. It also includes the name “Kawasaki” in capital letters printed near the bottom of the bike’s side. The motorcycle is built with a steel tubular semi-double-cradle frame and telescoping fork suspension in the front.
