Saturday morning TV star James Martin expects never to get married - and he wasn't afraid to share it. The celebrity chef, who recently announced a split from girlfriend Louise, revealed why he never married.
James, 51, said that he's not interested in marriage and would rather spend his money on other things. In a 2018 interview with The Sunday People's TV mag, he said: "No, it doesn't interest me in the slightest, mainly because I've catered for so many weddings, really. I don't need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I'm more than happy thanks."
Instead of spending on a wedding, James prefers to invest in cars. He owns a Chevrolet Courvette, a Lotus 340R, a 1948 Maserati and two retired Formula One vehicles. He added: "My mates come round to my house and they look into my garage and I go, 'These are my babies, these are my things,' but you know, it's each to their own, isn't it? " James also made it clear that he's not interested in becoming a parent as he prefers to focus on his career.

ITV chef James, who was recently seen with a new flame, has shared his thoughts on weddings, saying: "I admire people who do it, that's fine, but I'm quite happy. I don't need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I'm more than happy thanks."
James, known for his cooking on Saturday Kitchen and ITV's Saturday Morning, started going out with TV producer Louise Davies in 2011 after they met on the set of Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
They first lived in Hampshire and then moved to a beautiful house in the countryside. A friend told The Sun Online before: "James desperately wants to keep his private life out of the spotlight and under wraps following his romance with Barbara Broccoli."
"It's easy to do with Louise as she likes things low-key as well, unlike Barbara who loved making a fuss over him."
Another person said: "Louise goes absolutely everywhere with him they just don't make a big song and dance about it."
"She knows all his friends really well and regularly visited him on The Saturday Kitchen set and was on set for his ASDA commercials so all his colleagues get on great with her too."
But now James and Louise have broken up. He was seen shopping with someone new, Kim Johnson, who used to be married to Arun Nayar.
His spokesperson told the Daily Mail that James and Louise ended their relationship last December.
Before he was with Louise, James had been with James Bond film producer Barbara Broccoli for five years.
