Statement from Amy's Kitchen (February 10, 2022)

Gluten Free Watchdog reached out to Amy's Kitchen about HACCP procedures and cleaning between gluten-containing and gluten-free production runs. Here is the response from Amy's Kitchen Consumer Relations Team:

"AtAmy’s, we make over 100 gluten free products, andwere one of the pioneers in producing a wide range of gluten free meals.Our gluten free meals do not contain any ingredients derived from wheat, rye, barley, or oats (unless the oats are gluten free). We take our obligations in this regard very seriously andtake every precaution to ensure that our food is safe to enjoy.

We follow strict food safety practices, sanitation programs, and inspection procedures, including a wide range of cross-checksto ensure that cross-contamination and/or inadvertent use of the wrong ingredient does not occur in our facilities.Our Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams regularly review our practices to make sure we abide by our strict allergen policy and procedures.We thoroughly clean and sanitize our equipment between every productand perform a pre-operational inspection and line clearance prior to the next production. We also test finished products to verify that they meet the FDA definition of gluten free."
