DIY Body Glow Recipes (1)

In honor of us surviving the winter and it officially being summer, I would like to celebrate by introducing you to some amazing DIY summer glow recipes!

Body shimmer oils, sprays and lotions are excellent additions to any beauty routine, especially in the summer. They give your skin a radiant and glowing appearance that's perfect for beach days, pool parties, special occasions, date nights, or just everyday wear.

I will walk you through 3 ways you can make your own body glow solution at home with ingredients you probably already own. Body glow oil is a great option if you like to shimmer and shine, sprays are good if you want more of a natural shine to your body without the extra grease and lotions are a great mix between the oil and spray finishing.

Important notes:

  1. If you do not have mica powder, you can use crushed eyeshadow or bronzer as alternatives
  2. If you would like a natural looking glow, find mica pigment close toyour skin tone
  3. If your hands are unsteady, please utilize a funnel
  4. If you want a more intense shimmer, you can increase the amount of mica powder in the recipe. Start small and build up as needed.
  5. Body shimmers may stain light colored clothing
