Edward J. Dauber

Ed Dauber is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department and Alternative Dispute Resolution Department, with a major focus on white collar criminal matters. Recognized for his expertise in Business Litigation as one of the Best Lawyers in America (Bet the Company Litigation) and named by his peers as one of the top 100 New Jersey Super Lawyers, he has combined a career of public service and private practice. Prior to his founding of the firm with Mel Greenberg, Mr. Dauber served as Chief of the Fraud Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in New Jersey and thereafter was an advisor to the Attorney General of the United States.

In the early 1990’s, Mr. Dauber again entered the public sector, serving as the Executive Assistant Attorney General and Director of the Division of Law for the State of New Jersey. Mr. Dauber was in charge of the State’s more than four hundred Deputy Attorneys General, representing all state agencies including the Departments of Insurance, Banking and Environmental Protection, and all professional boards.

Mr. Dauber served as Acting Attorney General for Insurance Matters, was chairman of the State’s Interdepartmental Health Fraud Task Force and was honored for his initiatives in the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution by receiving the prestigious Center for Public Resources national award in 1992. He has served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Complementary Dispute Resolution Committee, has been approved as a mediator by both the Federal and State courts, and was a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct.

Mr. Dauber is a Rutgers College and Harvard Law School graduate and specializes in business litigation, white collar criminal matters, and representation with regard to State and Federal agency and regulatory matters. Mr. Dauber is also available for those seeking Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Linda G. Harvey

Linda Harvey is a partner in the Firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution, Commercial Litigation and Employment Litigation Departments. Ms. Harvey has been affiliated with the firm since 1984; previously associated with Shanley & Fisher, P.C. At the firm, Ms. Harvey specializes in commercial litigation with an emphasis on complex business matters, including contract, shareholder and partnership disputes, employment counseling and litigation, constitutional law, civil rights defense and product liability defense. Ms. Harvey also performs employment investigations and workplace training.

Ms. Harvey has been repeatedly recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation, a New Jersey Super Lawyers for employment law, business litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, and in New York’s Women Leaders in the Law and in Preeminent American Women Lawyers. She has been identified in New York Magazine, Inside New Jersey and New Jersey Monthly as a top lawyer in the metropolitan area. Ms. Harvey was elected as Fellow to Litigation Counsel of American in 2014. She has litigated and tried numerous business, commercial, employment and product liability cases in the United States District Court, as well as in the Chancery Division and Law Division of the State Courts, and has participated in significant appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Ms. Harvey is a trained mediator and commercial arbitrator. She is frequently selected by attorneys and businesses to mediate or arbitrate difficult and complex commercial, corporate and partnership disputes. Ms. Harvey has been appointed as a mediator and arbitrator on national arbitration panels, including large class actions involving the insurance industry. Ms. Harvey is a former chair of the District Ethics Committee and has lectured on litigation, business, employment law and ADR topics. She serves on the Executive Board of the New Jersey Women’s Law Association.

Ms. Harvey is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was the Notes/Comments Editor of the Law Review and the author of “Crane’s Footnote 37 Gets the Boot,” 11 Seton Hall Law Review 679, 1981. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Court of Claims, the United States Tax Court and the courts of the State of New Jersey.

Sheryl L. Reba

Sheryl L. Reba is a partner in the Firm’s Commercial Litigation and Employment Departments. Ms. Reba has been affiliated with the firm since 2009, during which time she has engaged in a wide variety of litigation matters pending in state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration tribunals and state administrative agencies. Ms. Reba has extensive experience representing business entities in complex commercial litigation, contract disputes, commercial torts, and a wide variety of employment related allegations, including defending claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. Ms. Reba also defends other attorneys from allegations of legal malpractice. In addition, Ms. Reba counsels corporate clients on labor and employment policies and practices, handbook updates, and aspects of business management, statutory and regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.

She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the courts of the states of New Jersey and New York.

Ms. Reba is currently a member of the N.J. Supreme Court District Fee Arbitration Committee. She is a former two-term member of the N.J. Supreme Court District Ethics Committee.

Prior to her employment with the firm, Ms. Reba practiced in New York. Her practice included all aspects of complex business litigation.

Ms. Reba graduated from Boston University School of Law, cum laude, where she also obtained the distinction of being named a Paul J. Liacos scholar. Ms. Reba completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Thomas B. Slocum

Thomas B. Slocum is a partner with the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice touches upon all areas of business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on white collar criminal defense, professional liability, intellectual property litigation, and insurance coverage and defense.

Mr. Slocum returned to the firm after working several years in-house at Chubb Insurance in the North American Office of General Counsel and Financial Lines Claims. At Chubb, Mr. Slocum’s areas of expertise included professional liability claim defense, coverage, and policy language for Chubb’s financial lines business. While in-house, Mr. Slocum also served as a member of Chubb’s New Jersey Pro Bono Committee. Mr. Slocum began his career as law clerk to the Honorable Jose L. Fuentes in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. While at the firm, Mr. Slocum has served on the Office of Attorney Ethics District Ethics Committee, and as a volunteer attorney with Partners for Women and Justice, an organization providing pro bono representation to victims of domestic violence. Outside of the firm, Mr. Slocum serves on his town’s Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Mr. Slocum earned his Juris Doctorate at Rutgers School of Law in Newark. While in law school, Mr. Slocum served as a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Associate and worked in the Rutgers Environmental Law Clinic.
